Associate Professor Simon Joosten is an associate professor of medicine at the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University and a Staff Specialist in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Monash Health. He has served in key leadership roles at all of the national peak bodies for sleep and lung health including the Sleep Health Foundation, Australasian Sleep Association and Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has received over $30million in research funding including fellowships and project grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council. He is one of the highest ranked Australian clinician scientists on academic performance metrics related to sleep research.
