There are certain things that just make sense. Like wheels on a bike.
Also like the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This is a scheme by the Australian Government that funds costs associated with disability. It isn’t perfect, by any means, but it’s helping just under 600,000 people in Australia, according to the NDIS website.
One of its shortcomings is its complex nature that can be difficult to navigate. Applicants must go through a detailed process to determine their eligibility and support needs. This process can involve assessments from multiple healthcare professionals and the completion of extensive paperwork. The complexity of the NDIS can be overwhelming for many, and it can be challenging to understand all of the options and resources available.
Additionally, because the NDIS deals with people with disabilities, there is often a need for additional support and accommodations throughout the application and assessment process.
As a result, it’s essential to have access to qualified and knowledgeable professionals who can provide guidance and support to help navigate the NDIS.
That’s where people like William Johns come in. WIlliam is a certified Financial Planner and disability expert. He is the CEO and founder of Health & Finance Integrated, a financial planning firm, and ClaimRight, a life and disability insurance claims handling service.
William is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities by providing comprehensive financial solutions that cater to their unique needs. He’s unique in the financial advice profession because he’s at the intersection of financial advice and disability support.
His primary focus is on providing financial guidance to individuals with disabilities or injuries and their families. William’s extensive knowledge and experience have enabled him to provide expert opinions in various jurisdictions on matters related to future needs. Not just in the NDIS, but in investment appropriateness, housing, Centrelink, and aged care too.
The conversation I had with William was fascinating and covered a wide range of topics including financial guidance for people living with disabilities, empathy burnout, and transferring passion into something that makes money.
